It’s no surprise to you that healthy foods equal a healthy body – you are what you eat and all that. What’s surprising for many people is that eating is the most effective strategy for losing weight.
A healthier, trimmer you is achievable by increasing the amount of healthy foods in your diet. Easier said than done, I admit.
I believe that it takes time to change bad habits and time to create better ones. Going cold turkey on fatty, sugary, salty or carby foods is usually a recipe for failure.
Introducing a little more healthy foods a little a little more often is the key to changing your eating habits. Your body (and mind) responds better to gradual, barely noticeable adjustments rather than a shock to the system.
Here’s a few healthy food thought-starters for you.
Any green vegetable – throw a few spinach leaves or broccoli into your stir-fry.
Eat less with healthy low-GI foods. Of course, we recommend low GI cereal to keep you feeling full from breakfast to lunch. NB. Not all low-GI foods are healthy. We suggest you check the nutritional panel, especially for sugar content.
Less carbs. We aren’t anti-carbohydrates but we simply eat too much of them, especially processed carbs. They leave you feeling hungry and that can lead to the sinister mid-morning snack.
Go yoghurt – cut-down ice cream and cakes with yoghurt, preferably low-fat and low sugar.
Good taste – some people find healthy foods, like salads, a little boring. So they dress them in fatty, sugary, salty sauces. By using EatSlim herbs, spices and sauces all you’re adding are more good ingredients and delicious flavour. Imagine actually craving healthy meals?
Friendly Fibre -“ it’s just great for maintaining a healthy body and helping to manage your weight. And there’s more to fibre than just bran. We love the humble carrot, raw spinach leaves and tomatoes for our fibre fix.
Thank you for reading and we hope you’ve got some practical ideas.
Enjoy!
PS. Better food on the inside means a better body on the outside.
